Karen, Volunteer
"I love the fact that our neighbors get to order the food that they want, and I always feel like I've brightened their day when I deliver their groceries and supplies."
Lakeisha, Volunteer
"Every person deserves the dignity of accessible, healthy food and BJH helps to make this possible. Every neighbor is so grateful when I deliver."
Jeff, Volunteer
"One of my favorite things about volunteering with Bringing Justice Home is that I get to step out of my day to day and step into my community and interact with neighbors that I wouldn't normally come across in my daily interactions."
Amanda, Donor
"For me, it can often be hard to provide specifics about what justice looks like in practice - it can feel like an abstract, lofty, and grandiose concept - but the work that BJH does is an excellent example. We should all be so lucky to have an organization like BJH in our communities."
Leila, Neighbor & Donor
"I feel like [BJH] has improved my health and well being because I'm able to get more healthy foods that I couldn't afford otherwise. When I eat better I feel better. When I feel better it makes a better me."
Rather than a passive feeling, we believe that love is an active force that challenges injustice and demands change. It's the spark that ignites our passion for service, the fuel that drives our pursuit of justice.
At Bringing Justice Home, we believe that true justice is rooted in love. It's about seeing each other not as strangers or adversaries, not as less-than or greater-than, but as fellow humans equally worthy of dignity and respect. It's about building bridges across divides, empowering the marginalized, and creating a world where everyone feels safe and valued.
